Hey everybody! Been awhile. Just a couple notes...
It happened over a month ago (sorry I didn't create a post just for it), but still the biggest news is the major shack-up in the band. Read Rob's statement regarding he and Grant's leaving The Rifles.
"Sometimes" was featured in the episode "Kill or Be Killed" of the TV show The Vampire Diaries.

[UPDATE]: The Rifles announced an acoustic tour for this fall, including another pre-christmas round at the Boogaloo, something of a tradition now. The dates:
The Rifles have been hard at work writing new songs for some months now, and are planning to record their 3rd album starting in August (and at Paul Weller's studio too)! The group have been posting updates about their new songs on their twitter account, so be sure to check in to see what they're up to! They explain it best themselves though, so read their message on the band's website: http://www.therifles.com/
[UPDATE] : A new instrumental song "Sign of Our Times" is up on The Rifles Myspace page! Have a listen and tell them how much you like it!
[UPDATE #2] : "Sign of Our Times" has been taken down, but fear not, another song, "No Sign (Home Demo)" is up on The Rifles Official site! Go and have a listen!
The Rifles are a class act. The band will be playing a gig in Coventry in memory of James Morrisey, a Rifles fan who recently passed away. The gig will be played at Taylor John's house on April 23th with all proceeds going to the muscular dystrophy campaign.
Music Under Fire loves The Rifles. In their year-end list of the Top 100 songs of 2009, "Toe Rag" came in at #60, "The Great Escape" came in at #24, and "Out in the Past" came in at #20. Then, in their list of Top 30 Albums of 2009, Great Escape was placed at #2!
The Sun loves The Rifles as well. They reviewed their album in early 2009, had a picture of Joel with Jersey Budd, and mentioned Joel's X-mas gift from Liam Gallagher and Luke's missing hat. [Update]: The Sun's video of Jersey Budd and The Rifles playing "Sleigh Ride".
I managed to find another review of Great Escape from Wonka Vision Magazine. An older video interview from back in July...
